Certified Leadership Professional

Certified Leadership Professional “CLP” is a certification for professionals who demonstrate knowledge, skills and competencies in leadership as per the requirements of the Canadian College for Leadership & Management “CCLM”.

CLP’s are visionary, passionate and influential leaders. They apply unique knowledge and skills to build inspiring visions, develop great people, and deliver successful results. CLP’s would be the new game changer for today and tomorrow’s leaders and workplaces.

Learners may earn the CLP certificate by:

Studying the textbook (i.e. Bok) and then writing the exam
Or attending the Self-Study course, which includes the exam

The CLP BoK comprises of various themes of knowledge and skills which a CLP must demonstrate competency in. A CLP:

Understands leadership theories and practices, crafts inspiring vision, sets goals and enables others.
Has business shrewdness, applies risk strategies, and develops KPIs.
Develops the next manager, motivates and promotes performance.
Is a change agent, crafts and deploys effective change management strategies.
Is flexible and smart in dealing with various levels of people; whether junior or senior and manages conflict effectively.
Is a coach and mentor who develops people to overcome their challenges.
Applies various motivational theories and practices to ensure people are motivated and encouraged to deliver.
Is emotionally intelligent and deploys EQ tools to lead and inspire.
Manages effectively various personalities and office politics and builds positive office environment.
Excellent in communication, verbally and non-verbally, exercises unique listening skills and manages conversations effectively.
Reads and analyzes body language effectively and changes conversation and messages accordingly.
Presents like professionals using various tools and communication strategies, and using vibrant videos and audios.
Masters public speaking using unique process with structured steps and outline.
Is critical thinker, problem solver and resilient.
Negotiates for the best, and under stress with difficult clients and learns how to win sales and deals.
Is effective in resolving conflict and applies various tools to create mutual
understanding and positive environment.
Is ethical, endorses and enforces ethical practices and respects people’s rights in workplaces.

Writing your exam

Once you pay for your exam on our Learning Management System (LMS), you will get instant access to the exam.
This access is valid for 90 days if you pay for the exam or the Self-Study Course which includes the exam.

ID Verification & Your Certificate

Identity Verification: Within 24 hours of your registration, you will receive an Identity Verification link. All students must verify their IDs using Stripe Identity. This is required before issuing your certificate.
- The provided link for identity verification is for single use only and will expire after 48 hours. Please ensure the verification is completed within this period. Learn how to do it here.
Certificate Issuance: Upon successfully passing the exam, you must accept a confidentiality statement in the LMS. Your certificate will then be available under “Achievements.”

Renewing your certificate

Your certificate must be renewed every 3 years by filling an online form and paying the renewal fee. The process is simple and straightforward. Visit (Renewals) on our LMS for further details.

Certified professionals must maintain an ‘Active’ status of their certifications by renewing it every three years. Once the certification passes its expiry date, it will show as “Suspended” in the Certification Registry, and this status remains for 3 months. This would be the last chance to renew the certification without writing the exam again. If the 3-month period elapses, the certification status becomes “Expired” and the exam must be completed again. Certified professionals cannot use their void and invalid certificate anymore.

Eligibility Requirement

All CCLM certification exams are available to all candidates. Any professional can attend the courses or register for the exams.

CLP Practice & Simulation Tests

The CLP Practice & Simulation Tests include a comprehensive library of 850 practice and simulation questions for the Certified Leadership Professional (CLP) exam.

Practice Questions:

Organized into 50-question modules or chapters, aligning with the CLP textbook and Body of Knowledge.

Simulation Test:

Consists of 100 randomly selected questions from the 850-question library.
Each attempt presents a unique and randomized set of questions, ensuring a thorough assessment of your understanding across all CLP concepts and modules.

The Practice & Simulation Tests are meant to provide:

Targeted Practice: Questions organized by module and chapter for focused study.
Realistic Simulations: a full-length practice test mirroring the real exam experience.
Detailed Performance Analysis:
- View your scores and compare them to the passing threshold.
- Review questions, correct answers, and incorrect answers with explanations.
- Access a detailed report highlighting your performance in each chapter and module, identifying areas for improvement.
Unlimited Practice: Retake practice questions and tests as many times as needed to solidify your understanding.
